Some of my favorite things about being a wedding photographer are getting to document memories that will surpass time. There’s one thing for sure: your photos are the one thing you’ll keep after the day is over. Having a photographer that cares about your moments is important. I’ll be there every step of the way - celebrating others is truly in my DNA!

Hi, I'm Katie! It’s been 10+ years in this industry of being your biggest hype girl, and spending more time with you than ANYONE else on your wedding day (crazy, but it really is true). I love spending the MOST time alongside you, serving you, and dancing the night away with you and your people!

I live in the burbs with my husband and two little girls, but there are few things I love more than sweet home Chicago on a wedding day. I’m ALL about personal touches, surprise snacks (mom instincts), and making your story feel like a passion project. It is my personal mission to make sure your happiest day ever is protected and preserved and made even better than you imagined!

    KATY’S FAVORITE PART OF A WEDDING DAY IS:

    Katy says it best: “Getting ready is my fave part because it’s where the most intimate the details of a wedding shine through. The anticipation of a couple as they’re about to see each other for the first time is at a peak, you’re surrounded by the people who love you the most, and it’s such a surreal and sweet part of the wedding day. Photos portray the emotions of the morning better than words can and I love getting to capture it!!!”

    WHEN KATY’S NOT SHOOTING YOUR WEDDING SHE IS:

    While Katy's most favorite way to spend the weekend is CERTAINLY documenting your day, you can find her conquering the morning with the company of an iced latte + a morning workout. Whether it's HIIT or cycling class, getting moving first thing in the morning fuels her day with energy. Then shortly after, it's usually off for a walk with Daisy, her chocolate labradoodle, or patio drinks with her KCP couples (or Kerri)!

    Any and all things chocolate labradoodle (like her dog Daisy), her (hopefully) mutual obsession with you on either, or hopefully both, Frank Sinatra and EDM, and the people most important to you!

    WHEN KATIE’S NOT SHOOTING YOUR WEDDING SHE IS:

    Spending time with her husband, Mikey, and her two little girls. Because of showing up bright and early on your wedding day (and being a mom), Katie has become a morning person, loving a morning workout or having a slow, sweet morning with her family (And dog, Rocky of course).

    KATIE’S FAVORITE PART OF A WEDDING DAY IS:

    To no surprise, Katie loves a parent / child moment.. but it’s the really thoughtful moments/surprises that bring tears to her eyes. She really just loves those moments when a couple finally breathes and settles into their day (likely during cocktail hour) or when you hear THAT song on the dance floor.

    To be a KCP couple is to have someone in your corner for life! We first met Kerri when we moved to Chicago in 2019 and took our photos. We came away from that session with the most beautiful pictures by the Chicago skyline - and also, a lifelong friend. Since that Fall photo session, Kerri has been a constant presence in our lives, cheering us on through personal and professional milestones alike and continuing to shower us with love and light.

    One amazing part of working with Kerri is that she has curated the most talented creative team to work alongside her - so when the opportunity came to work with Katie, as part of KCP, we immediately said HELL YES!! From the moment we met, Katie exuded peace and warmth. We were fast friends, and she put me at ease immediately as we started our photos. Katie was hyping me up as we took bridal portraits, cheering during our first look, and celebrating our love over and over again. Just like when we met Kerri in 2019, we left feeling like we had gained a lifelong friend in Katie!

    Renan and I were blown away by the portraits that Katie captured, all with signature KCP style. Her photos show our love and laughter at every moment, for both each other and our beautiful city!! We are so thankful to have wedding photos to cherish in Chicago, the city that has become our home.”

    Katy is a true angel and wow, can she get the job done. Her photos are literally incredible. Every single one of the bridal party and family members couldn’t stop talking about how amazing she was, and how wonderful her energy was. Also, my husband really does not like being photographed, but he felt so comfortable all day and I actually think was really start to feel himself with the support of Katy.

    Throughout the wedding process I appreciated her enthusiasm, communication, and clear commitment to her work. On the day of when she first came in to the hotel I truly was so overwhelmed with just the chaos of the day, and she single handily turned that around for me— she brought such a positive and fun energy that it pulled me out of any stress of the day. She really helped me be so present, and remember not to get too caught up in the chaos and remember that the day is about me and my partner.

    Her presence made a world of difference for me and I’m so grateful that she was there to capture the day.  Also, quite simply, her photos are amazing. She also kept everything on track, on time, and managed to work with all the family members and bridal party like it was just another day in the park. Multiple guests came up to me or reached out after the wedding saying how amazing the photographer was. I could definitely go on and on but all i’ll say is if either Katy or Kerri has an opening, take it!”
